At Mississauga Academy of Music, we hire knowledgeable, skilled, and talented teachers. Each is highly qualified and many have extensive professional performance experience. We have teachers trained by The Royal Conservatory of Music standards and /or university equivalency. More importantly, our instructors motivate students by adapting to each student's learning style.
Our students range in age from students 3 years of age to adults in their 80s. Regardless of the age of the student, we match teacher and student based on learning style in order to create a very rewarding musical experience.
Private music lessons are offered in Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Drums, Voice, Violin, Viola, Theory, Clarinet, Saxophone, and Flute. Private lessons ensure that the student has the teacher's undivided attention in order to address individual strengths and weaknesses. Our teachers encourage with positive attitudes and help the student grow so they will want to continue learning.
We prepare students for Royal Conservatory of Music examination requirements in classical repertoire, studies, technique, ear training, and sight reading. We also prepare students for entry into arts secondary schools, plus college and university music programs. Further, we provide coaching for students auditioning for musical productions, choirs, contests and competitions.
We hold a Winter Concert and a Spring Concert to help students build confidence through performance experience. This makes it possible for the whole family to attend and enjoy student performances, along with relatives and friends. This makes our annual concerts a highly enjoyable experience, and an aid to the Mississauga music
